When Encore PBC was founded, we included in our mission connecting people over 50 to new work opportunities. Since then, we’ve found an ever- increasing interest and need for this assistance. For any number of reasons, many of us over 50 are looking for work. At our recent monthly Meetups we’ve featured experts to help our constituents in their job searches and our Resources page also includes helpful information. Here we will post new work opportunities that come our way.
Presenters needed for Puppetry Program teaching social, emotional, learning curriculum for Living Skills in the Schools outreach effort. Great for substitute teachers, or part-time teachers, compensation, flexible schedule, serving schools throughout Palm Beach County. Introducing the concepts of self-image, feelings, decision making, peer pressure and coping skills.

Senior Companion Training and Employment at Ruth & Norman Rales Jewish Family Services: JFS Career & Employment Services offers a Senior Companion Training Program. The two-day program is for those who want to learn how to become a caregiver or for those who are placed in the position of taking care of a family member. The program is free, but registration is required.

Experienced professionals 55 and older to serve as mentors for next school term, Broward County Schools,
with elementary and middle school students who need positive role models and extra attention. Qualifications: 55 or older, with college education and reliable transportation, enjoy working with children, and commit to 15 hours/week from mid-August to the end of May. Mentors receive a stipend.
