Help Military Members and Their Families – Become a Red Cross Hero Care Network Caseworker!
Every day, men and women answer our nation’s call to serve in the armed forces, and the American Red Cross stands by these heroes and their families from the day they enlist throughout their military careers and beyond.
Red Cross volunteers help provide critical services with a caring touch wherever and whenever needed — 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year — to serve military members and their families at home and around the world.
American Red Cross Hero Care Network Caseworkers are needed in the South Florida area to work virtually to assist these families and service members.
If you are someone with strong listening and interview skills and the ability to work with culturally diverse populations, and you are comfortable working remotely, then you can help provide a critical link for families during emergency situations!
Guided by our Congressional Charter, the Red Cross focuses on providing volunteer aid to the wounded, ill and injured, and providing communication between service members and their families during times of emergency. This volunteer opportunity serves this part of our mission directly.
Helps military members, their families and veterans!
Red Cross and department orientation will be provided. On-line training classes will be assigned as well as one-on-one coaching and support will be provided for the role.
Excellent interviewing and listening skills
Reliable computer and internet
Good technology skills, as well as, internet search capabilities
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Strong attention to detail and follow-up skills
Successful completion of an American Red Cross volunteer application (includes background check)
Demonstrated ability to treat people with respect under all circumstances and instill trust in others while upholding the values and principles of the American Red Cross
