Help Sort Food to Keep Pantries Stocked at CROS Ministries
Volunteers are needed to help sort food or pack food bags in two hour shifts. You will be standing for the duration. It is in our warehouse but it is air conditioned.
We post the shifts on Sign Up Genius – a free program. You sign up for the day you are able to come help.
Our shifts are on Tuesdays from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm, Thursdays from 4:30 pm to 6:30pm and Saturdays from 9:00 am to 11:00 am.
CROS Ministries serves the hungry in Palm Beach and Martin County through community collaborations. It is only with volunteers that we are able to provide much needed food for families and individuals struggling to make ends meet.
The food sorting and packing food bags helps to keep our pantries stocked and ready to serve all who come to our pantries.
With your help we are helping people meet basic nutritional needs to function. We serve children, parents or caregivers, seniors and people without homes.
With your help, we are keeping children from going to bed hungry and helping them to be able to learn at school.
The impact you have is unmeasurable. We can give you the number of people served, but how do you track a child’s ability to learn, a parents ability to function at work or a senior able to buy medication?
Without the communities help we will never be able to end hunger in Palm Beach County.
Minimal training is needed and is provided the day you come to help.
You need to be able to stand up for two hours and read labels on cans.
Our shifts are on Tuesdays from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm, Thursdays from 4:30 pm to 6:30pm and Saturdays from 9:00 am to 11:00 am.
When you understand you are helping people to eat, a basic need for sustaining life, it is awe inspiring and humbling. When you volunteer as part of a program to serve the hungry, you leave feeling good. You have become part of the solution.
