Volunteer Needed: Meals on Wheel Caller or Delivery Driver

Callers will reach out to set a list of clients and obtain the food order for the week.
Drivers will be responsible for picking up the meals at our facility and delivering them to the clients.

Participants benefit from social interaction. Participants are given a choice in what they eat, allowing them to feel a sense of control. Drivers bring healthy and nutritious meals to those who need them. Both bring the opportunity for socialization for our participants.

Those in our community who suffer from food insecurity are guaranteed a healthy meal or two each week.

Volunteers will be trained by appropriate staff on how to collect orders or deliver meals.

All candidates must be willing to work well with others. Be willing to take direction from facility staff, be able to work in a changing environment, and bring a passion for working with elderly clients.
Drivers must have a car, a valid driver’s license, and car insurance.

Varies per position

Volunteers report back that they feel good knowing what they do is helping others. They leave in a good mood and have a sense of accomplishment.
