Pantry Intake Volunteer, CROS Ministries

Lake Worth, Riviera Beach
Posted 2 years ago

We need volunteers who can help once a week for three to six months (preferably) using a computer to check in clients. Training provided.

LAKE WORTH PANTRY – Our Savior Lutheran Church at 1615 Lake Ave. Volunteers are needed one day a week on Monday, Wednesday or Friday from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm.

RIVIERA BEACH MOBILE PANTRY – St. George’s Episcopal Church & Center parking lot at 21 West 22nd Street.  Volunteers are needed on Wednesday’s from 9:30 am to 11:00 am.

Volunteers will be helping CROS Ministries to serve the hungry in our community.  Unfortunately we have many seniors, working and unemployed individuals and families struggling to provide enough food to maintain a healthy life. Seniors choose between food and prescription medications. Adults skip meals or eat less at meals to stretch their food or to be able to feed their children.

By providing bags of groceries we help keep seniors, individals and familes from becoming ill, keeping their mental faculties and have the strength to look for work or continue work until they reach sustainability.

Volunteers will be trained on our cloud based program to check in clients. A staff person is on site for ongoing questions.

Comfortable using a computer.  Ability to lift food bags 25 to 30 lbs as needed.

One day a week on the day that works best for you.
