Rosemary Nixon, the founder and chair of Encore PBC, was featured in an article for the September/October 2022 issue of Delray Beach Magazine.
The article talk about Rosemary’s biography “Then” and “Now“. It also showcases how and why she founded Encore Palm Beach County in 2016, part of a national network of Encore programs, all to help people over 50 use their skills and life experiences to improve their communities.
She also shared, “While working as a financial planner, I saw that although people knew they had saved for retirement, they needed help visualizing what that retirement would look like. With Encore, we’re connecting people over 50 to new work and volunteer opportunities, because being engaged in community life and purposeful activity is critical in healthy aging.”
