What’s New
Our theme for 2021 is “PURPOSE AND VISION”. After the past year, we will all be thinking about what we want for our futures, both for ourselves and for the communities we live in. The programs we have planned for 2021 will revolve around this theme.
As part of Encore PBC’s ongoing support and advocacy of mature workers, we are going to host a virtual informational session called ‘Inspired Transitions’ on Wednesday, March 10th from 5:30-6:30 PM via Zoom. Inspired Transitions will be what YOU want and need it to be, but organizer and EncorePBC board member Karen Roberts sees it as an opportunity for like-minded job seekers, workers in transition or those who are interested in supporting these groups, to come together to share information, experiences and resources.
This first meeting will be a listening session to find out if any unmet needs still exist for those in job transition or thinking about transitioning to a new position and are in need of additional support in their job search. This is your chance to let us know how EncorePBC can help.
To learn more, or to be invited to the March 10th session, please email Karen at Karen@myhr.bz by March 9th.
On March 18th at 12:00 pm, Karen Roberts will be interviewing Brian Altschuler, V.P. of Ancillary Operations at Boca Regional Hospital, about the challenges and potential of managing intergenerational work teams.
In an aging society and workforce, these kinds of teams are essential for mentoring in both directions in order to tap into all necessary skills to get the job done. This program is part of a monthly series leading up to our Wisdom & Experience Awards event in October which will recognize employers which value experienced, mature workers.
Mr. Altschuler received his Master of Science in Management with a focus on Leadership from Nova Southeastern University. He is an adjunct professor at Lynn University. He holds certifications in Situational Leadership and Development Dimensions International. Mr. Altschuler has also achieved certification as a Myers-Briggs Type Indicator Practitioner, a Certified Level III Corporate Trainer through Marriott International and a Senior Professional in Human Resources.
After registering, you will receive a confirmation email containing information about joining the meeting.
On March 24th at 12:00 pm, Whitney Cherner, LCSW, will share information on the new Career Services program at Alpert Jewish Family Services in West Palm Beach.
