The online retailer is looking to add 100,000 workers amid an “unprecedented” surge in demand due. The bulk of those jobs are inwarehouses and as delivery workers. CVS
Drugstores are seeing a surge in business during the coronavirus pandemic. CVS will hire 50,000 additional full-time, part-time and temporary positions nationwide to keep up with demand and is awarding bonuses of $150 to $500 to employees who work directly with patients. Roles include store associates, home delivery drivers, distribution center employees, and member/customer service professionals. Hiring will take place via virtual job fairs, virtual interviews, and virtual job tryouts.

DOLLAR GENERAL
Dollar General is planning on hiring workers to deal with the increased number of shoppers. Company officials announced they are looking to hire 50,000 people by the end of April.  The company said it anticipates most of its new roles will be temporary, but it also expects some of the new employees will receive “long-term career growth opportunities.”

GE HEALTHCARE
GE Healthcare needs additional manufacturing employees to build medical ventilators, which have been in high demand and short supply during the coronavirus pandemic. The company also needs to increase its manufacturing capacity and output of CT scan machines, ultrasound devices, mobile X-ray systems, patient monitors and ventilators, which are critical to diagnosing and treating Covid-19 patients.

INSTACART
The on-demand grocery startup that fills grocery store orders plans to hire 300,000 full-service shoppers over the next three months, more than doubling its current workforce.  Instacart is looking to hire hundreds of thousands of workers to meet surging demand for grocery deliveries as millions of people are urged to stay home. They will be treated as independent contractors. The hires would more than double the company’s current workforce of full-service shoppers.

Integrity Implants, in Palm Beach Gardens, which develops products for spinal surgeries, intends to employ up to 150 people with educational and professional backgrounds in science, technology, engineering and mathematics. The firm opened its new headquarters in early March.

KW PROPERTY MANAGEMENT AND CONSULTING
KW Property Management & Consulting, which manages high rises and other residential communities managed by homeowner associations, is looking for workers to help service the buildings it maintains for condo and homeowners associations statewide. The positions include front desk clerks, maintenance people, administrative assistants and housekeeping. The company is looking for people to “put on our bench right now” to back up workers who might fall ill. The company helps maintain more than 200 properties around Florida, including in Miami-Dade, Broward and Palm Beach counties. Hourly wages for front desk work is $15 to $17; housekeepers and maintenance workers are in the $14 to $15 range.
